The “DiFens” Final Conference was successfully organised and hosted in Cyprus by UCY.
All partners of the project, and more than 100 guests attended the event at the New University Campus premises.
During the event, all participants had the chance to learn more about the project, the e-manual and the platform and moreover about successful start-ups, incubators, contests that may be of interest to any potential entrepreneur and also to participate in specially elaborated activities regarding youth and entrepreneurship.

The DiFens e-Manual is available in five languages: English, Greek, Slovenian, Bulgarian, Polish and can be found in the DiFens Platform: http://www.difens.eu.

On Wednesday, the 14th of November, DiFens will host another multiplier event in Sofia – on the premises of VUZF – the University of Finance, Business and Entrepreneurship!
The students of VUZF – many of which are interested in creating their own business, will have the chance to talk to Georgi Zahariev, a digital consultant for Google, as well as explore the DiFens products and opportunities!
On the 4th of October DiFens and Law and Internet Foundation invited young entrepreneurs, potential entrepreneurs and other stakeholders on a discussion on the topic of digital security.
In the afternoon hours, 5 young entrepreneurs participated as panelists in a discussion on digital security as an important factor in entrepreneurship and business overall. With active participation of the attending audience, they discussed the difficulties and possible solutions to them, giving invaluable advice from their own experience.
Afterwards, the DiFens project was presented, together with a demonstration of the DiFens mentoring platform www.difens.eu and the other project output – the DiFens e-Manual.
Participants received as gifts the printable annex of the e-Manual and had the chance to network over pizza.
The DiFens project is implemented under the framework of Erasmus+ programme of the European Commission, within Key Action 2: Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices, Action: Strategic partnership for youth. Law and Internet Foundation is in partnership with 4 other partners from 4 different countries – Cyprus, Slovenia, Poland and Greece.
The aim of the interim meeting was to oversee the project progress made so far from the view of deliverables, especially on the progress of the e-manual.
All the chapters in the e-manual were presented by the partners within the JST. Trainees also had to make their mentor profiles on the platform DiFens and had to train on the features of the platform in order to successfully operate and navigate the future mentoring progress.
Trainees had the chance to visit to of the biggest incubators in Thessaloniki were examples of good practice on mentorship and business were presented. The project partners had the opportunity to present the project and motivate their young start-ups to join the platform as mentees.
